Record Sealing and Expungement

If you are interested in requesting to have your record sealed follow these steps.

Complete an Application for Sealing of Record

Be sure to read and complete the entire form and file it with the Clerk of Courts on the third floor of the Courthouse. There is a $50 fee to file the application with the Clerk of Courts Office.

Complete a Sealing of Record Investigation Questionnaire

Be sure to read and complete the entire form and mail it to the address listed as soon as possible.

Upon completion of these steps, an investigation will be completed by the Adult Probation Department and forwarded to the Court. The Court will then schedule a hearing on the request. The Court makes the final determination of eligibility.

Remember, you are eligible 3 years after successful termination from community control or 3 years after the completion of a prison sentence and you are a 1st-time offender.  You also must have no previous convictions and no charges currently pending against you.
